Beginning June 26, Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services is proud to dedicate its Live with Hope pillar as the Lou Lowenkron Live with Hope Pillar.
Lou Lowenkron, a U.S. Army veteran, philanthropist, and business leader, has exemplified a purpose-driven life and served as a beacon of hope for countless veterans and their families. Alongside his wife, Marianne, Lou has been a vital supporter of the Center, helping us impact lives for 14 years.
As we celebrate Lou’s 95th birthday and our anniversary, we honor his legacy and his unwavering commitment to service, dignity, and hope.
The Center’s Three Pillars
The Center’s three pillars form the foundation of our mission:
The Lou Lowenkron Live with Hope Pillar
Now named in Lou’s honor, Live with Hope addresses the daily challenges facing veterans and their loved ones. Through these programs, the Center helps communities, organizations, individuals, and movements assist veterans and military families with affordable housing, basic needs, building resilience, strengthening support networks, and moving toward a brighter, more hopeful future.
