“I am pleased with our 2025 outputs and accomplishments. The Center continues to make significant progress toward fulfilling our vision.” – David Sutherland, Chair Every
On October 14th, Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services formalized a strategic collaboration with the Texas A&M University System Office of Veteran and Military Services—an important milestone in our ongoing mission to ensure veterans and their families thrive where they live.
This new agreement brought together leaders from both organizations at the Texas A&M Veteran Summit in Fort Worth, TX, to establish a shared framework for increasing opportunities across workforce development, education, wellness, and entrepreneurship.
The Center is aligning expertise, relationships, and resources to strengthen the Texas A&M System’s capacity to connect veterans and military families to meaningful career pathways, higher education, and supportive services. In turn, the Texas A&M System—with its extensive network of universities and relationships with agencies across the state—is providing a powerful platform to amplify impact at scale.
Together, we are building a statewide model that integrates veterans into every aspect of community life—helping them learn, work, and live with purpose. By combining Dixon Center’s national reach with the Texas A&M System’s local presence and commitment to those who have served, we are demonstrating what sustainable, systems-level collaboration can achieve.
